Shankumugham Beach

Shankumugham Beach is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, south India. The beach is on the western side of Thiruvananthapuram and very near to Trivandrum International Airport.It is located nearby Veli Tourist Village. This beach is an ideal place to admire the beauty of Sunset in Arabian Sea. The oldest indoor club is located in this beach. 35 m long Matsya Kanyaka (Mermaid) statue is the major attraction in this beach. The renowned sculptor of Kerala State, Kunjiraman sculpted this Statue. Also there is a “Traffic Park” in this beach which makes the children learn our traffic rules with fun.
