Ponmudi

Ponmudi is a hill station in the Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala in India. It is located 55.2 km north-east of Trivandrum City at an altitude of 1100 m. It is a part of the Western Ghats mountain range that runs parallel to the Arabian Sea.

  • Golden Valley

Settled along the banks of Kallar River, Golden Valley is a picturesque location idyllic for its lush green valley, crystal clear water and golden sand. Visit this enchanting place that makes for a relaxed picnic-spot.

  • Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary

Open all year round, Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is located along the catchment area of the Peppara Dam on the Karamana River. The sanctuary rich in flora and fauna offers a natural habitat to around 43 species of mammals, 233 species of birds, 46 species of reptiles, 13 species of amphibians and 27 species of fishes.

  • Mini Zoo

Famous for the large number of Barasinghas, this Mini Zoo shelters several other types of animals. The zoo is located at an easy distance from Ponmudi.
